The UP Quality Assurance System, previously known as the Academic Assessment and Development System, under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, aims to assure the Filipino public as well as national and international stakeholders that UP programs and delivering units meet standards of academic excellence as currently defined within the changing context of local, national, regional and global developments that have had profound impact on universities worldwide.

 UP Diliman Quality Assurance Office 

The UP Diliman Quality Assurance Office, previously known as the Academic Assessment and Development Office, under the Office of the Chancellor, aims to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the University's Quality Assurance System, formerly known as Academic Assessment and Development System, and strengthen UPD's quality assurance (QA) measures.

 External Quality Assurance Assessment of BS Community Nutrition 

The Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition program, with the supervision of Asst. Prof. Maria Carmela Taob and Asst. Prof. Luz Felicidad Callanta, underwent an External Quality Assessment (EQA) from March 2022 to December 2022. External reviewers from UP Manila and UP Los Baños assessed the program's strengths and areas for improvement and suggested recommendations to meet the AUN-QA requirements. Subsequent action points for revision and improvement of the undergraduate community nutrition program were proposed.

 IUFoST Accreditation of BS Food Technology 

The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology program is dynamic in answering the needs not only of the local scene but being proactive to the changes in the global scene. The program has been recognized as achieving the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) International Standard in Food Science and Course Curricula from 2016 to 2021.

To date, the current 4-year BS Food Technology curriculum of UP Diliman is the only IUFoST-accredited program in the Philippines. The recognition was officially renewed and announced at the 21st World Congress of Food Science and Technology last November 3, 2022.

 Benchmarking Activity with UP Los Banos and UP Mindanao 

The UP Diliman MS Food Science Quality Assurance Team headed by Dr. Myrna Benita Luna conducted a benchmarking activity with the Institute of Food Science and Technology of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, and the Department of Food Science and Chemistry of the University of the Philippines Mindanao, both offerring the Master of Science in Food Science graduate program. Along with this, the team also attended a courtesy call with the UPLB Quality Assurance Office Director, Dr. Nina Cadiz.
